The Elucidation of Grapefruit (live performance & installation) is a story of body and water, and how intrinsically linked they are. 

At the source is the well. The work draws on the presence of well maidens; guardians of springs, keepers of thresholds - figures who have long been tied to these origin points. The well is not only a physical site, but a symbolic and bodily one: a place of emergence, depth, and renewal. It is from here that all life begins.

The work touches on the Grail myth, a story in which a wounded king renders the land barren, his body and the landscape bound in mutual suffering. The resulting Wasteland is not only ecological but bodily: a condition where the flow of life is obstructed. Within this context, the well becomes critical. These sites, like the female body, have been subject to control, extraction, and erasure. The abuse of water and the abuse of the female body mirror one another, both stripped of sovereignty and reduced to resource. 

The well, the river, the grapefruit, the body, and the grail are not symbols of one another, but extensions of the same living system.
