"Good Fried Chicken"

Plot: 56-year-old James McMorris is released from state prison after serving a 30-year stint for murder.  During his time in confinement he has answered his calling to preach the gospel.   His freedom is short-lived as he is kidnapped minutes after his release by Joseph Royster, himself a church deacon.   Unknowing of McMorris' religious affiliation, Royster takes McMorris to an inactive cemetery to be executed for the murder of his father some 30 years earlier.  However, before Royster carries out his revenge he respectfully serves McMorris his last meal, fried chicken.  Not just any fried chicken, but fried chicken good enough to die for… Writer: Nate Osborne
