Plot: What if Malcolm X and Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. were teenagers in a small town, attending the same high school and pursuing the same teenage girl in 1963? Given their opposing ideaologies and religious veiw points it would most likely be one chaotic affair. In “A Long Time Coming” you have high school teenagers James 7X, a recent inductee into the “Nation of Islam” and Daniel Newborn, a staunch protégé of the current day “Civil Rights Movement” in pursuit of Patsy Brown, the preacher’s daughter.
